PIP Digital Health Incentive

Supporting practices to make greater use of digital health

The PIP Digital Health Incentive delivers financial incentive with the aim of recognising general practices that provide comprehensive, quality care, who are either accredited or working towards accreditation with the RACGP standards for general practice.

The current PIP has five requirements for practices to become eligible and they are:

  • Integrating Healthcare Identifiers
  • Secure Messaging
  • Data records and clinical coding
  • Electronic transfers of prescriptions
  • My Health Record system

Practices that no longer wish to participate in the eHealth Incentive will need to withdraw online through the Health Professionals Online Services (HPOS). Practices that withdraw will be able to re-apply for the eHealth Incentive online through HPOS at anytime.
