Practice Incentives Program eHealth Incentive Guidelines - August Update

16 August, 2016

Congratulations to those GP practices that met their PIP eHealth Incentive requirement for the May – July quarter.  It is rewarding to talk with practices and hear they are already working towards meeting their August – October target.

This week, we have received the following advice from Department of Human Services to circulate to practices that were unable to meet the minimum shared health summary upload target by 31 July and may not have notified the PIP team.

NOTE:  If your practice has received a PIP eHealth incentive payment for the May- July quarter but has not met the required number of uploaded shared health summaries then you must return the payment to the Department of Human Service – see below.

Formal Advice from Department of Human Services (DHS)

General practices seeking to return the August 2016 eHealth Incentive payment for not meeting their SHS upload target can send an email to pip@humanservices.gov.au and the Department of Human Services (DHS) will arrange for a debt advice notice to be raised for the repayment of funds.

Please ensure that they include the following information in their correspondence.

  •  Practice details (practice name, practice ID, postal address)
  • Reason for the correspondence – repayment of August 2016 PIP eHealth Incentive payment, as the SHS upload target for the practice was not met by 31 July 2016.
  • Contact name and number

Please also note, that any correspondence sent to DHS on this matter, must come from either the owner of the practice or an authorised contact.
