Free mental health service accepting referrals in the City of Whittlesea

16 April, 2024

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local in the City of Whittlesea supports Victorians aged 26 and over to get mental health and wellbeing support closer to home.

The service is free, and guests don’t need to be an Australian citizen or resident, or have a Medicare card, to get support.

The service is staffed by a transdisciplinary team of mental health professionals including clinicians, and peer support workers with their own experiences of mental health challenges and recovery.

Multicultural, Family, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTQIA+ workers, and Alcohol and Other Drug Clinicians are available to provide tailored support to meet people’s needs.

With patients’ consent, GPs can refer them to the Local service by filling out the attached referral form and emailing it to whittlesealocalservice@neaminational.org.au

We also accept referrals from mental health services, community services, carers and families, and we encourage self-referral.

Guests can walk into our centre for support without a referral or call us on 1800 571 145.

Located at 7/1 Danaher Drive, South Morang, VIC 3752, the service is open from Monday to Saturday, including public holidays.
