Our Indigenous Health program aims to improve the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in eastern and north eastern Melbourne. This is part of wider efforts to close the gap in life expectancy and health outcomes, especially for children under five.
The program's goals are to:
- Coordinate care for people living with ongoing conditions such as diabetes and asthma and support them to access primary health, specialist and other type of services.
- Contribute to building a health system that provides high quality, accessible and culturally appropriate health care
- Mullum Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place
- Healesville Indigenous Community Services Association (HICSA)
- Boorndawan Willam
Practice staff wanting to undertake Cultural Safety Training can access an on-line course through RACGP. Visit their website for more information.
