Education

EMPHN offers education to GPs, allied health professionals, practice nurses, practice managers and other practice staff. Our education priorities are informed by national and local priorities.

As an authorised provider of accredited activities under the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) QI & CPD Program, we deliver quality education in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure a competent and sustained workforce.

EMPHN leads the Eastern Melbourne GP Education Alliance which is a collaboration involving the six local hospital networks and GP training providers in EMPHN’s catchment. The Alliance facilitates cooperation between parties in the delivery of locally relevant, cost-efficient and effective GP education.

EMPHN’s education program is intrinsic to the capacity-building support provided to general practices. We offer a range of face-to-face events and recorded webinars which have relevance to all general practice staff.

EMPHN is the lead agency for development of a suite of practice education webinars which are available on the website of the Victorian PHN Alliance: http://vphna.org.au/education/
