Season's greetings and farewell from Robin

Season's greetings and farewell from Robin

19 December, 2019

On behalf of everyone at Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network we wish you a safe and happy Christmas and New Year!

Thank you to our partners for your ongoing support, particularly as we've embarked on our transformative journey during the past year.

A reminder of some services you, your family or patients can access over the holiday period:

  • EMPHN Mental Health Referral and Access Team: can support people to access mental health services in our community that best suits their needs.
  • My Emergency Doctor: a mobile app which can connect people to Australian-registered specialist emergency doctors within minutes, enabling the doctors to use smart phone enabled cameras to help with diagnosis.
    • Download the My Emergency Dr App from the App Store or Google Play and input your postcode when required. The service is free for people living in these postcodes in the EMPHN catchment. Please note: this is not a replacement for the emergency 000 service.

EMPHN's CEO Robin Whyte will be moving on from EMPHN for personal reasons, finishing up at Christmas.

"I'm incredibly passionate about EMPHN’s next bold move into realising its transformative strategies under its Strategic Plan 2020-2025 and the next step forward for EMPHN, I am sure, will be another big and successful one.

"A heartfelt thank you to our partners for your ongoing support to me over the years and on this journey so far as we realise this transformative vision," Robin said.

EMPHN Chair Dr Stephen Duckett  said Robin can be incredibly proud of the legacy she leaves at EMPHN.

"Over the last 12 months, EMPHN has repositioned itself with the transformational strategies. Robin has pursued these with gusto, taking a personal lead on a number of them and using her relationships in the region to build platforms which will endure.

"Without Robin's drive and persuasion I doubt we would have been able to achieve the external cooperation that has been established," Stephen said.

The recruitment process for a new CEO will commence in early 2020.
