My Emergency Doctor - MBS Items Update For Unsociable Hours
With the introduction of new telehealth item numbers in response to COVID-19, My Emergency Doctor have engaged with our established service providers to ascertain the impact of the many changes in effect.
My Emergency Doctor are pleased to confirm that from 2 May 2020, My Emergency Doctor is available to bulk bill certain groups of eligible patients within the EMPHN catchment in the unsociable hours (11pm – 7am) 7 days a week.
Eligibility is determined by the urgency, meaning that the consultation cannot wait until sociable hours. These bulk billing arrangements will be available until 30 September 2020 and will require some slight changes to how RACF clients may be accustomed to access the current after hours My Emergency Doctor service funded by EMPHN. The most notable will be the collection of patient Medicare Card details for the express purpose of billing for these consultations (request for these details will be prior to being connected to the consulting doctor).
