Following on from the recent cyber incident at Eastern Health, Acute Specialist Clinics is advising that throughout the incident all electronically transmitted referrals sent through Healthlink were received.
During this period of downtime, a number of GP Practices reverted to faxing or sending referrals via mail. These continue to arrive slowly and will be actioned as a priority.
Eastern Health request that practices with conformant software return to submitting electronic referrals as the most efficient and effective way of care transfer and ensures the referrals are more traceable. There is now over 350 local practices with conformant software and so in the rare case you do not have conformant software , please continue to fax your referrals and if possible, engage with EMPHN's digital health team who can support practices to access E-referrals via Healthlink.
EMPHN Digital Health team can also support individual practices gaining a Login and access to the Healthlink portal to access e-referral where local practice software is not conformant, email digitalhealth@emphn.org.au.
