This session will use a case study to explore some ethical issues that the palliative care team encounters on a daily basis. The discussion will highlight end of life decision making and how it influences care delivery.

Learning outcomes:

Participants will:

  • gain greater awareness of common ethical issues encountered by specialist community palliative care teams
  • explore a framework for communication around complex decision making, and consider adapting this to their own practice.
