Event Details

Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network (EMPHN) is delighted to be hosting interactive My Health Record sessions for specialists and practice managers. The aim of this event is to inform specialists and practice managers in the Eastern Melbourne region of Victoria about the My Health Record program and how they can interact with the system.

Facilitated by

Australian Digital Health Agency

The national My Health Record system, driven by the Australian Digital Health Agency, is an electronic summary of an individual’s health information. It can be securely shared online between the individual and their healthcare providers involved, and improve patient health outcomes.

The aim of this event is to inform specialists and practice managers in the Eastern Melbourne region of Victoria about the My Health Record program and how they can interact with the system. 9 out of 10 Australians now have a My Health Record and approximately 15,460 healthcare providers are registered to use the system.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to:

  • describe features and benefits of the national My Health Record system
  • understand the privacy and security obligations and its impact on workflow
  • identify clinical situations where the use of the My Health Record system may be beneficial.
