About the Mental Health Stepped Care Model

Stepped care is defined as an evidence-based, staged system comprising a hierarchy of interventions, from the least to the most intensive, matched to the individual’s needs. The model is most effective when service providers are integrated and connected.

EMPHN has implemented the Mental Health Stepped Care Model across the catchment in three tranches, defined by geographical boundaries. Find out more about the development of the model.

Tender briefing

The briefing will provide details on the components of the Mental Health Stepped Care Model, the scope of the tender, the role of EMPHN's referral and access team, RFT timelines and submission process, evaluation criteria and pricing schedule.

Tender information

On 8 January 2020 EMPHN released a tender to the market for one or more organisations to deliver the Mental Health Stepped Care Model in the outer east of the EMPHN catchment. The outer east covers the local government areas of Maroondah, Knox, and the majority of the Yarra Ranges. Service delivery is planned to start on 4 May 2020.
